★ABOUT THE PRINT PROCESS★

Each card is hand-printed in our home studio in London, UK, on our vintage hot foil press. Using a method of foiling which has been used since 1892 and often seen used by traditional bookbinders. But with our designs, we are hoping to bring that process bang up to date.

★EEK! But foil isn't eco friendly?★

We have found the most eco-conscious foil supplier in the UK. Our process is solvent-free as opposed to the widely available, cheaper toner foiling and our supplier has a zero foil to landfill scheme, meaning we can send our scraps and offcuts back to them and they are processed into SRF – higher quality and more environmentally friendly alternative to fossil fuel(s). And unlike toner foiling, our foil can be recycled on these cards as our transferred foil is so thin, that it dissipates within the re-pulping process.

Our designer Gemma has worked tirelessly to create the perfect gothic-inspired range for those who have struggled to find suitable options on the high street. With a focus on catering to unique styles, we are here to make the search for the perfect piece of stationery to suit your gothic aesthetic much easier. Each sticker has been made from her illustrations and are unique to The Gothic Stationery Company.
